How to Write an Endorsement for a NUS VP FE Candidate
An endorsement is a short public statement where I show my support for a candidate. It should be honest, personal, and easy to understand. Anyone reading it once should know who I support, for which role, and why.
3 Easy Steps
1. Say who I am
One line about my role, background, or perspective.
2. Say why I support them
One or two clear reasons linked to their values, actions, or impact on Further Education students.
3. Clearly endorse them
State the candidate’s name and that I’m endorsing them for NUS Vice President Further Education (VP FE).
Example 1
I’m an SU officer who works closely with Further Education students every day. I’m supporting [Name] because they consistently listen, act, and put FE students at the centre of their work. I’m proud to endorse [Name] for NUS Vice President Further Education (VP FE).
Example 2
As a student representative, I care about real change for FE learners. [Name] has shown a strong commitment to access, fairness, and student voice. That’s why I’m endorsing [Name] for NUS VP FE.
Example 3
From my experience working with FE students, leadership matters most when it’s practical and inclusive. [Name] understands the challenges FE students face and is ready to represent them nationally. I fully endorse [Name] for NUS Vice President, Further Education.
